Solana rent

Reclaim your SOL rent

Every account you open on Solana locks a little SOL as rent. It feels like a fee when you deploy, but it is really a deposit. Close the accounts you no longer use and get that SOL back, straight to your wallet.

What SOL rent actually is

Solana asks for a refundable deposit to keep an account's data on chain. That deposit is called rent, and the amount scales with the size of the account. A simple token account locks a small amount, roughly 0.002 SOL, while the bigger accounts created when you deploy a collection or program lock a lot more. It is not spent, it is held. Close the account and that SOL comes back to you.

Why deploying looks like it costs SOL, but doesn't

When you deploy a collection or create token accounts, you pay a bit of SOL up front. Part of that is a real network fee, but a large part is rent: a deposit that simply sits in the account. The moment you no longer need that account, closing it returns the rent to your wallet. So the real cost of deploying is smaller than the number you saw at the time.

1. Connect your wallet

Connect the wallet you deploy and trade with. Everything stays non-custodial, you approve each step yourself.

2. We scan your accounts

We find the empty token accounts you can safely close: leftovers from airdrops, tokens you sold and mints you already finished.

3. Reclaim your SOL

Close them in one go and the rent lands back in your wallet. You see exactly how much you get before you confirm.

How much SOL can you reclaim?

It depends on what you have done on chain. Empty token accounts each hold a small deposit, around 0.002 SOL, and they stack up fast: a wallet that has collected NFTs or traded tokens often has dozens sitting idle. Deploying a collection or program locks a much larger deposit, and that rent is reclaimable too once you no longer need the account. For active wallets the total is usually a real amount of SOL, not loose change. The tool scans everything and shows your exact total before you confirm.

Is it safe?

Yes. Closing an account only ever touches accounts you own that hold no tokens. Your NFTs and balances stay exactly where they are, you only reclaim the rent from accounts you no longer use. Every action is approved in your own wallet, and the tool shows what you will receive before anything happens.

What is rent on Solana?+

Rent is a small SOL deposit that keeps an account's data stored on the Solana blockchain. It is refundable: when the account is closed, the deposit is returned to the owner.

Where does the SOL come from when I reclaim?+

From the rent deposits locked in your own empty token accounts. Closing an account releases its deposit back to your wallet.

Will I lose any NFTs or tokens?+

No. Only empty accounts that hold no tokens can be closed. Your NFTs and token balances are never touched.

How much can I get back?+

It varies. A single empty token account holds a small deposit (around 0.002 SOL), but they add up fast, and the bigger accounts created when you deploy hold a lot more. The tool scans your wallet and shows your exact total before you confirm.

Does reclaiming cost anything?+

You approve everything in your own wallet and see the amount you will receive before you confirm, so there are no surprises. Beyond the usual Solana network fee, you keep the reclaimed rent.
