Mercedes-Benz introduces MBUX Collectibles

The new addition to the MB.OS (Mercedes-Benz Operating System) brings the world of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) right into the hands of Mercedes-Benz users. This new update was showcased at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

MBUX Collectibles

Part of the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) dashboard, the new addition is aptly named MBUX Collectibles. The Collectibles give the user a unique experience by combining the world of NFTs with a luxury vehicle. On the dashboard, users can quickly learn about Mercedes-Benz-related digital collectibles.

Mercedes-Benz’s introduction to blockchain technology

This MBUX collectible is not Mercedes-Benz’s first introduction to blockchain technology. In 2020, the company launched a blockchain project to track carbon emissions from its cobalt supply chain.

Integrating NFTs into the MBUX dashboard positions Mercedes-Benz as a pioneer in the Web3 movement. They keep up with trends, which also appeal to the younger audience. In doing so, they connect with the younger generation and stay on top of industry trends.

Mercedes-Benz’s NFT collections

Last year, Mercedes-Benz announced it was coming out with an NFT collection called NXT Icon. This collection, consisting of 18860 collectibles, was a very great success. Within hours, everything was sold out. This led to a second NXT Icon collection this year.

In addition, Mercedes-Benz has another collection called Maschin, which came out in April 2023. Collectibles from the Maschin collection are now displayed on the MBUX Collectibles dashboard.

Conclusion

By introducing NFTs into their MBUX dashboard, Mercedes-Benz is once again positioning itself as a pioneer in the Web3 movement. The company is providing a new level of interactivity for its users.

The NFT world continues to grow. It is to be expected that Mercedes-Benz will continue to lead the way with the convergence of luxury vehicles and the ever-changing world of NFTs.
